Q:  I get my new drive without drivers.

A: Optical drives do not require any drivers when used in any Windows OS from 95 up. Support that allows this drive to read a data or music disk and to burn a CD-R disk is included native with the OS.

 

Q: My drive doesn’t read CD’s after installation.
A: If the drive listed in Device Manager, My Computer, and Windows Explorer? If not then you have a drive installation/configuration problem.
If the drive is listed in the above sections, then you may have a registry problem that needs attention for the drive to be properly detected. Details of how to delete the upper and lower filters in the registry are posted on the Microsoft website link below:

Q: My drive doesn’t appear in the hardware list after installation.
A: Most likely you’ve purchased a wrong drive. Please contact us with your order # and your laptop model.

 

Q: My drive doesn’t read DVD’s, or read with errors after installation.

A: Please have a look at a small check list if your new DVD Burner doesn’t work.

Whether or not you have installed your original caddy properly that drive get on his place completely?

Whether or not you have installed your original connector properly?

Did you change you’re a DVD region to the region of your country?

Does the drive appear in the laptop hardware list?

Try to check you drive with another media.


Q: How can I view the status of my order?
